Launch of the Grand Prix FUTURE Days 2019

For FUTURE Days 2019, the Greater Paris event on the cities of the future, Université Paris-Est and its partners Agence Descartes Développement, Cap Digital, EpaMarne EpaFrance and Erganeo are launching the Grand Prix FUTURE Days. These awards, divided into 3 categories, are designed to reward and promote enterprise and innovation while also encouraging academics to start businesses.

In addition, the three winners selected by the Grand Prix FUTURE Days jury will win prizes.

Award categories

 The start-up/SME category is reserved for start-ups and national and international SMEs.

The Winner will receive a year's free membership and personalised support from the Cap Digital Business Cluster (according to the project's roll-out schedule).

 The researcher-entrepreneur category is reserved for researchers at institutions that are members or partners of the Comue Université Paris-Est (Paris-Est University Community of Universities and Institutions).

The Winner will receive personalised, technical and legal support from ERGANEO (according to the project's roll-out schedule), with a view to preparing an investment application that could result in receiving funding of up to 300,000 euros to create a start-up.

 The student-entrepreneur category is reserved for researchers at institutions that are members or partners of the Comue Université Paris-Est (Paris-Est University community of Universities and Institutions).

The Winner will receive support and 6 months' pre-incubation at Incubateur Descartes (according to the project's roll-out schedule), to prepare their application for the IGEU FUTURE loan on trust of up to €60,000.

Eligibility criteria

Innovative projects for sustainable cities will be expected, on at least one of the following themes:

  • Sustainable construction, ecomaterials, sustainable renovation, BIM
  • Well-being and urban development
  • Mobility/transport
  • Management of energy consumption and energy transition

  • Fight against pollution and climate change
  • User services
  • Regeneration of city centres and plasticity of places
  • Data platform
  • Nature, biodiversity and water management
  • Urban agriculture, agro-ecological transition
