July2019

As part of FUTURE Days 2019, Université Paris-Est is organising a PechaKucha™ competition to offer young researchers in the academic community the chance to present their work, in an atypical format, to the general public attending the event.

Eight candidates will be selected to take part in the PechaKucha™ session on Thursday, November 28, 2019. The audience will be asked to vote to determine the winners.

Crucially, the three most popular candidates will receive prizes from €1,000 to 2,000!

The general theme for this PechaKucha™ 2019 session is:

"Materials in the city: legacy and future."

This theme is open to all different kinds of approaches; multiple, interdisciplinary and multi-scale. It can be explored equally well from the perspective of hard sciences and engineering sciences as from that of humanities and social sciences: chemistry, physics, literature, economy, architecture, history, etc. Artistic and cultural approaches are also welcome, so long as they are related to the theme.
